ABOUT ARMATURE EDUCATION

Armature Education was founded out of a desire to share the joys and benefits of strength training with the wider Pilates (and movement ) instructor community. The two modalities enhance and support each other in multiple ways. Drawing from principles of both not only makes us stronger physically but also more versatile and in-demand instructors. 

How do we know this combination works?
The proof is in the pudding. 

Established in 2006, Armature is a three-venue Pilates and Strength Training facility that grows bigger every year. With hundreds of weekly clients and a twenty-strong instructor team, Armature walks the walk and talks the talk. Armature instructors and services are the highest quality in the business. 

Instructor trainer extraordinare, Stephanie Sibel, has combined her personal experience of strength training with her decade-plus experience facilitating in-person Pilates instructor training to create unique, accessible and affordable face to face workshops.

Each workshop is practical and hands on, encouraging friendly collaboration with peers. Some workshops focus on building confidence with basic barbell technique and relating that to Pilates. Others focus on applying strength training principles to Pilates teaching. All the workshops are participation based, not spectator activities. 

Do one workshop or do them all. They stand independently, but also work overlap and interconnect. 

Armature Education also runs speciality seminars (theory and discussion-based) in Female Physiology, Strength Training for Menopause and Strength Training for Pre-natal Populations. ​

Armature Education brings together instructors to learn and network together in a spacious, face-to-face environment at Armature Strength in the heart of East Brunswick, VIC.  Five signature workshops unite the modalities of Pilates and strength training. They are each 3 hours long and can be done individually or as a bundle.
